Summer vacation time is upon us, peeps! And for many, at least in my Chelsea neighborhood, that means Provincetown: handsome men riding bikes in madras shorts, drag queen brunches and sunning at Race Point. The town is dotted with lovely inns – you can see everyone having pre-dinner cocktails on the front porches – but they fill up quickly. What to do when the town is sold out? Take it to the water. The P-town Houseboat floats 300 yards off the Provincetown Harbor and is outfitted with kayaks, a tiny but perfect little barbecue grill, and floor to ceiling bedroom windows that let in the sunrise. I would love to jump off the edge of this houseboat into the cold water every morning before breakfast.
Although…can you imagine the journey back to your bed after a night at the bar?
The P-town Houseboat is still available for a couple more weeks in June and August. Please invite me for a sleepover! I will bring groceries in a little motorboat.
