Palm Springs Jet Lag Journal: Joshua Tree National Park
Joshua Tree National Park is home to these bizarre, fluffy puffs of trees. These shapes inspired Dr. Seuss’ “truffula tree” illustrations while he worked on The Lorax.
Check out Kyra’s gorgeous new jewelry from Flow Modern Design in the Joshua Tree sunshine.
We drove to Keys View to watch the sunset. This is a lookout point with views of Palm Springs, the Coachella Valley and the fault line of the San Andreas Fault. It was as bright blue and orange as a popsicle, with a little bit of mist hanging in the sky, and the whole view began to glow as the sun went down.
Getting to Joshua Tree from Palm Springs is a road trip through the future. The wind blasted our car from both sides as we drove 40 miles through fields of windmills. Kyra would not let me put the top down, and she was right. Sand, dirt and wind gave the ‘Stang quite an exfoliation.
