Guys, I had to share this amazing find of a refurbished space to the max. Talk about something that hasn’t been done before, check out this Spanish church’s newest interior. . .

The artist Okuda San Miguel began canvasing large murals across the vaulted ceilings and windowed walls of the historic church in Ilanera, Spain at the same time as it was converted into an indoor skate park. There’s not much out there as to why it was deemed appropriate to convert the space for skaters and the decision process that evolved for this architectural transformation. I can only imagine a few disgruntled Spaniards spitting blasphemy on the space. But I think it’s truly ingenious.

There’s even more photos to be found at designboom where you can peruse a handful more of the murals and skaters in symbiotic space and see how it came together. Check it out!
